Savannah Starring is a third-generation interior designer and owner of The House. Her approach to design is fully dependent on the house speaking to her. Savannah is passionate about creating a space where a homeowner can experience life as it happens. Outgoing and yet down to earth, Savannah’s design abilities cater to all stages of life. Dedicated to providing a one-stop-shop for everything home, Savannah has comprised a team of design professionals that is unmatched.
The House team, comprised of five interior design industry experts, is locally-owned and operated. The team embraces clients across the Gulf Coast, the United States, and ultimately, the globe.
A wearer of many hats and a truly invaluable individual, Bobbie Michalopoulos is the go-to girl. She handles back-of-house operations, invoicing, vendor relations, and much more. Bobbie has been with the store for more than ten years, resulting in an impressive mental filing cabinet. From naming a fabric that reupholstered chairs years ago, to knowing everything about every project, she can’t be measured.

Tommy Nix, a native of the Eastern Shore, has years of experience in the world of color. From floral arrangements to furniture, Tommy is the epitome of a talented designer. He approaches his projects by gaining an understanding of the client’s needs in order to produce functional, aesthetically pleasing spaces.

Savannah’s journey began with an inherent passion for art and an unwavering love for all things design. Following her high school internship at The House, her calling to craft spaces became clear, propelling her to pursue a degree at the University of Alabama. Armed with invaluable experience and knowledge, she approaches each project with boundless enthusiasm and creativity driven not only to meet but to also surpass her clients’ expectations. Her meticulous attention to detail serves as the foundation for delivering interiors that stand the test of time with a specialty in custom millwork.

Maconica is detail-oriented, organized and she never hesitates to add a new task to her to-do list. She is responsible for taking the design teams’ creative ideas and making them a reality for our clients. From procurement of all items from vendors and keeping track of deliverables and installations behind-the-scenes, she diligently and efficiently makes sure projects are on schedule.
Personable and enthusiastic about providing a positive client experience, Maconica wants to make everyone feel at home at The House. With her expertise and enthusiasm, she is dedicated to making every client’s vision a reality and ensuring their experience is nothing short of extraordinary.
